Curriculum Vitae

Daniel Köhntopp received the diploma degree in Technomathematik (Dipl.-Math. techn.) from the University of Bremen, Germany, in November 2012. His diploma thesis entitled „Vorwissenba- sierende Aktive-Konturen-Methode zur Konturextraktion und Klassifikation“ (Pre-knowledge based active contour method for contour extraction und classification) resulted from a research collaboration between the Zentrum für Technomathematik at the University of Bremen and ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH.

Since June 2013 he works as reaserch associate within the Robotics group at the Jacobs University gGmbH, in collaboration with ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH, Bremen, and the Institute of Water-Acoustics, Sonar-Engineering and Signal-Theory (IWSS) at the Hochschule Bremen (University of Applied Sciences). He is working towards his PhD degree in the field of automatic object detection and recognition of sea floor anomalies on 2D sonar images
